              Harold Agblonon Benin

              Columbia University

              Harold Agblonon is a consultant at Deloitte where he advises Fortune 500 clients and is the skills lead for the Tri-State consultant community. Having graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from Columbia University, Harold studied economic policies in China, Africa, and Chile. Upon graduation, Harold became an investment banker in New York and Tokyo, where he witnessed the rapid development of the Asian economy. Harold established the African Advancement Network, a non-profit that provides professional and academic support to African students in the West, and continues to facilitate operations today. Harold is from Benin.

              Hatim Hussain India

              Gujarat National Law University

              Hatim Hussain is a final year law student pursuing a Dual Bachelor in Law and Commerce (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University, along with professional degrees in finance and accountancy. He has authored multiple influential studies in cryptoassets and RegTech sectors while at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Alternative Finance. Funded by the Gujarat state government, his startup provides financial services regulatory intelligence to governments and FinTech firms. He has fostered a passion for social justice, particularly in disability laws and efforts in ensuring eradication of poverty and inequality through the use of emerging technologies. He hopes to promote digital financial inclusion in India by learning from Chinese law, finance, and technology models. Hatim is from India.

              Henrique SosaVenezuela

              University of Virginia

              Henrique Sosa graduated from the University of Virginia where he majored in Economics, Foreign Affairs, and minored in Statistics. After graduation, Henrique worked as Public Sector Consultant for McKinsey & Company’s Latin America office for almost three years. After McKinsey, Henrique joined the Presidency of Colombia, where he currently helps drive the implementation of the government's economic integration strategy of the Venezuelan migrants in the country. Henrique’s passion is the design and implementation of public policies in Latin America, and he aspires to be a positive change agent in Venezuela’s reconstruction. Henrique is from Venezuela.

              University of Melbourne

              Huw Hutchison completed his undergraduate degree in International Affairs and Indonesian Studies at The University of Melbourne. He spent extensive time abroad during his studies, including as a Cheung Kong Asian Endeavour Scholar at The University of Hong Kong. Upon graduation, Huw served as CEO of the Asia-Pacific Youth Organisation, a regional NGO focused on engaging young people with public policy. Huw currently works at the Australian Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet, where he serves as a foreign policy advisor. He aspires to support Australia’s future strengthened engagement with the Asia-Pacific region. Huw is from Australia.

              Columbia University

              Irina Liu earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Columbia University and another in Political Science at Sciences Po Paris. She is currently a fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI), where she supports the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She is a lead on China-related science policy research and co-founded a China discussion group at STPI. She previously worked as a research assistant at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. At Sciences Po Paris, Irina was the Co-President of Science Po Environnement. Irina is from the United States of America.

              Jaffly ChenAustralia

              University of New England, Australia

              Jaffly Chen is a medical doctor and founder of LyfVR, a social enterprise bringing new life to nursing homes through virtual reality. Working with Australian Digital Health Agency, Jaffly is also busy consulting the federal government on how technology can be used to better serve Australia’s most disadvantaged. He has won national hackathons, pitch competitions, and worked for the WHO in health systems and health policy. Jaffly has also chaired several national and international student advocacy groups and committees. In 2019, he was selected for the MIT/Harvard Innovation Bootcamp, and as a Westpac Future Leaders Scholar. Jaffly is from Australia.

              Jana TianSlovenia

              Jana Tian graduated from Imperial London with a First-class Honours in her master’s degree of Chemical Engineering. Today, she’s the youngest R&D Manager within her division in Unilever. She was awarded the “R&D HERO of 2019” for pioneering agile innovation; launching sustainable products in months through big data analytics and building an ecosystem of Chinese partnerships for the World. Jana believes in education equality, she has volunteered in Tanzania delivering STEM education, in Borneo developing rural-educational-centres and she’s an Ambassador for Steppingstones teaching Chinese migrant children English. Jana is a second-generation Slovenian-Chinese and brings with her the best of East and West.

              Jessica Quaye is a senior at MIT studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. At MIT, she has advocated for her peers as President of the African Students’ Association. She has also served in the Undergraduate Association and Undergraduate Student Advisory Group. Jessica is interested in the intersection between business, technology and human interactions. She has sharpened her technical and business management skills through internships at Google, Microsoft and Bain & Company.               Jessica Wang is passionate about utilizing human-centric design in building technological systems and shaping technology policy for government. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She currently builds collaborative design software as an engineer at Figma, a startup in Silicon Valley, and volunteers with Larkin Street, a nonprofit tackling youth homelessness. In the past, she’s worked at a security/machine learning startup, Facebook, and Uber. She has also researched designing digital systems to bridge socio-political divides and combat misinformation.               Jiaoyi HuangChina

              Nanjing University

              Jiaoyi Huang will graduate from Nanjing University (NJU) in 2020, studying Chinese Literature and Linguistics. She also studied public policy and economics at Sciences Po in Paris, France. Committed to promoting global citizenship education in her community, she served as President of NJU Model UN Association. Jiaoyi has also researched sex education for young girls in rural China and engaged in poverty alleviation programs while working at China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. Her experiences have motivated her to learn from her fellow Schwarzman Scholars and become a contributor to the development of NGOs in the context of China. Jiaoyi is from China.

              Jiaqiao XiangChina

              New York University

              Jiaqiao Xiang (Frank) is a senior at New York University Shanghai, where he founded its TEDx club. Frank has received scholarships to study at Tel Aviv University in Israel and Duke-Kunshan University, as well as Semester at Sea which brought him to 11 countries on four continents. He studied at NYU Abu Dhabi and researched environmental policy as an intern at the Wilson Center in Washington DC. In 2019, China Hands Magazine named him one of the 25-under-25 Future Leaders in US-China Relations. He is also a fellow of Georgetown University Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues. Jiaqiao is from China.

              John Rindone is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in International Economics and minoring in Chinese. While at Georgetown, John has worked at the U.S. State Department, where he researched Chinese soft power, and at the Office of the United States Trade Representative, where he provides World Trade Organization litigation support. In 2015, John received the State Department’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth scholarship. While studying in Hangzhou last spring, John also wrote a Chinese-language thesis on the Sino-American “trade war.” As a Schwarzman Scholar, John hopes to learn more about the Chinese market and China's economic policy.               Johnathan Lovett graduated from Brown University with a master’s degree in Engineering Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, and from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in English, concentrating in poetry with coursework in physics. He is the founder of an environmental startup, an IoT water pollutant detection platform, which was a finalist in the 2018 Rhode Island Business Competition. He has conducted hyperlocal air quality research for RAND Corporation, written food criticism for the Providence Journal, taught English in Kunming, and worked as a research assistant for a Brown Physics professor before joining their company, SPSY.L.               Jorge Luis Filio FloresMexico

              Jorge Luis Filio Flores is CEO of Blue Spots Group, a crowdfunding platform for projects related to the 2030 Development Agenda and its 17 Goals. Jorge graduated in December 2019 with a B.S. in Sustainable Development Engineering. His research in energy and environment-related policies has been recognized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as well as by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). A driver for collaboration, in 2017 Jorge led a Congress between Mexico's two biggest universities and served as president of the student association. A local advocate for sustainability, Jorge is from Mexico.

              Juliana Lawrence is a medical student at Yale School of Medicine. She attended college at age 13 through the Early Entrance Program and graduated magna cum laude at age 18 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Juliana is currently a research fellow at the Yale School of Public Health and the Yale Center for Outcomes Research & Evaluation studying how governments develop health recommendations. She is interested in international health policy and hopes to utilize her medical background to develop collaborations between China and the United States. Juliana is from the United States.

              Jullian Duran graduated from Harvard in 2018 and rejected a top consulting job to return to Ecuador—a place his family left 20 years ago. Within a year, he built a nonprofit that has taught debate to 5000+ students from privileged, inner-city, rural, and indigenous communities. During that time, he also designed a behavioral experiment to study corruption, taught liberal arts, and published his thesis on education. At Harvard, Jullian studied economics, ran a million-dollar laundry company, started and oversaw a million-dollar investment fund, and interned in consulting and a hedge fund.               Junan ZhangChina

              Juan Zhang will graduate from New York University Shanghai in May 2020. He served as the President of NYU Shanghai Model United Nations Conference and the President of Undergraduate Social Sciences Research Journal. As a Global Leadership Scholar and an alumnus of the Forum for American/Chinese Exchange, Junan Zhang has lived and studied in Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, and Washington DC, where he conducted research on transnational urban identity and comparative political institutions.               Beauclaire Choumkwa Mbanya Junior is a senior at the University of Rochester majoring in Chemical Engineering. During his undergraduate years, Beauclaire was recognized as one of the 2017 Student Leaders at the Teach For All Global Conference. As a winner of the 2019 Davis Project for Peace, Beauclaire designed and implemented the "Togetherness for Peace" project aimed at supporting displaced women from crisis affected regions and providing alternatives to violent offenders in Cameroon. Beauclaire is passionate about addressing the infrastructure and development challenges in Africa. He speaks French and English. Beauclaire is from Cameroon.

              Kangrong (Allison) Zhang will graduate from Harvard in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Math and History. Allison is President of Harvard College China Forum, the largest North American student-run China conference and, as board member of the Harvard Association for U.S.-China Relations, directed China Thinks Big, China’s premier high school research and innovation competition. She serves as a board member of Harvard Student Agencies, the world’s largest student-run business. At Schwarzman College, Allison hopes to examine the Chinese business-government relationship and apply those insights to a career in business/social enterprise management.               University of the Free State

              Karabelo Maloi graduated from the University of the Free State in South Africa, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with specialization in Investment Management and Banking. He is the Founder of Qholotsa Youth Organization, which is youth-led NGO which pioneers community outreach initiatives in the areas of poverty alleviation and education in Lesotho. He is a One Young World Ambassador and a Hansen Fellow. He is an MSc Candidate at the University of Warwick in the UK, and intends on pioneering climate smart technology solutions to agribusinesses in Africa, and the world. Karabelo is from Lesotho.
