            The Event: 

            Jeff Wong’s presentation will share some of the latest innovations and how they are helping to solve big, real-world problems, from agriculture to transportation. Jeff’s presentation is followed by a panel discussion featuring entrepreneurs Jeff Wong, WANG Jing and MA Libo, moderated by Amy Stursberg. They will discuss their paths to entrepreneurship, how they are shaping their industries now and for the future, what it means to be an ethical leader, and what an increasingly globalized and interconnected world means for entrepreneurship and their business.

            Jeff Wong

            Jeff Wong is the EY Global Chief Innovation Officer, challenging everything from the way EY operates internally to how it provides services to clients. He works across the entire organization to help identify, share and scale the best ideas. He brings deep experience across strategy, investing and building new ventures globally. He has built new businesses across various concepts, including local commerce, B2B exchanges, services, mobile and big data at BCG, JAFCO America Ventures, J.P. Morgan Partners and eBay. 

            Jeff sits on the Oxford Foundry Board, Oxford University and the Advisory Board for AI4All, a non-profit organization working to increase diversity and inclusion in A.I. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Innovation Ecosystems.

            Jeff has an AB in Economics, master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and an MBA from Stanford University.

            WANG Jing

            WANG Jing is the Chairwoman, CEO, and Co-founder of a multi-billion dollar outdoor brand Toread Holdings Group Co., Ltd. - an outdoors lifestyle company that offers products including clothing, shoes, and equipment. Toread went public on Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2009. In addition to her professional commitment, Jing continues to raise awareness for environmental protection through various organizations and campaigns, such as the zero waste climb campaign, Wenchuan Earthquake relief fund, and SEE conservation to name a few.

            Jing is also a Chinese mountaineer, author, entrepreneur and founder of the Everest Future Foundation in Nepal. She is best known for her feat in becoming the fastest woman in the world to complete the Explorers Grand Slam (Last Degree) in 142 days (4 months and 22 days) and the fastest woman to climb Seven Summits (combined Mount Kosciuszko and Carstensz lists in 138 days). Jing recorded this adventure in her book Silence of the Summit, which was published in English in December 2018. In addition to the grand slam climbs, Wang Jing has summited nine 8000+ mountains, becoming the first Chinese woman to summit Manaslu, the first Chinese woman to summit Lhotse, the first mainland Chinese women to summit Everest South-side, and the first Chinese female to summit Everest thrice from the south-side.

            In 2016, Wang Jing established the Everest Future Foundation to improve the standard of living of the Sherpa community in Khumbu Nepal, a place she frequented during her treks up Nepalese peaks. The Foundation focus on building schools, monasteries, and hospitals and contributing to other welfare activities in the Khumbu region.

            MA Libo

            MA Libo leads JD.com’s CSR team. She is responsible for the development of the company’s sustainable programming. In 2014, Libo led the launch of JD Foundation, JD.com’s charity affiliate, where she serves as general secretary. In 2017, she leveraged JD’s signature authenticity guarantee and unparalleled logistics infrastructure to set up the JD Giving Platform, an innovative way for JD’s over 300 million active users to donate items such as clothes and books online. 

            Libo is also responsible for launching an initiative, which brings together over 50% of JD suppliers online to participate in fundraising activities, as well as for pioneering the use of blockchain, drones and other advanced technology in philanthropy. Libo led JD’s CSR team in developing the WeChat game "Dongdong Town", which promotes sustainability by rewarding players with points for accomplishing sustainable tasks such as choosing electronic invoices instead of printed ones and purchasing goods from impoverished areas. Under her leadership, JD’s CSR efforts continue to explore new ways of bringing all stakeholders together to promote sustainability, innovation, empowerment and governance, and has become a model for other private enterprises to follow. 

            Libo has over a decade’s experience in sustainable and philanthropic development. Prior to joining JD.com, she worked in CSR at Cisco China. Libo holds a Master of Science degree from the Southwest University of Finance and Economics. 

            Amy Stursberg

            Amy Stursberg is a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, CEO of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Education Foundation and Executive Director of the Schwarzman Scholars Program. In her work with the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, Amy has created and overseen the Blackstone’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, bringing four innovative programs to twenty states and four countries. 

            As CEO of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Education Foundation and Executive Director of the Schwarzman Scholars Program, Amy has helped to launch Schwarzman Scholars. In her role, Amy has helped raise over $500 million to endow the scholarship program; has overseen overall program management; and has developed curriculum, programming and the creation of a new Robert A.M. Stern building on Tsinghua’s campus.

            Prior to joining Blackstone in 2008, Amy worked in a number of public sector leadership roles, including with the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation to help build a $90 million program in cultural and in community grants. Amy also served as the final Director of the September 11th Fund and held various positions at the Office of the Mayor in the City of New York, as well as at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.
